Located on the beautiful Cumberland Plateau. The Fairfield Glade and Crossville area is “The Golf Capital of Tennessee”. With our many championship courses. From the Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain in Crossville to the highly rated Stonehenge at Fairfield Glade. We have courses that all levels of golfers enjoy.
We have course designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Joe Lee, Ron Garl, Bobby Greenwood and Gary Roger Baird. They have all taken advantage of the natural terrain and scenic beauty on the Cumberland Plateau. Their visions have produced many championship layouts throughout Fairfield Glade and Crossville. They are as challenging as they are enjoyable.
Lake Tansi
Lake Tansi Golf Course, one of the top-rated courses in the state, hosts several Tennessee section PGA events. The course is not extremely long but it puts a premium on accuracy off the tee. The fairways are gently rolling and the greens have tiers and a great amount of undulating surface. Lake Tansi is a true test of golf for the average handicapper (from the front tees) as well as for the low handicapper (from the back tees).

Dorchester
Dorchester Golf Club is an 18-hole course, secluded in Fairfield Glade and featuring Bentgrass tees and greens. The tree lined fairways are narrow, requiring precision shot-making off the tees. Many water hazards and strategically placed bunkers provide a challenge for every level of golfer.

The Bear Trace
The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain is in the heart of Tennessee’s scenic Cumberland Plateau. It is one of the most sought-after sites among the five Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Trace courses in Tennessee. The 6,900-yard (gold tees), par 72 layout features a design that capitalizes on elevation changes. Also, natural features, such as flowing brooks and clustered, mature pines. The signature 7th hole, a 393-yard, par 4, incorporates another of the regio’s natural resources. Also, layered flagstone, along the front of the green.
The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain is named as one of the “Top Ten Courses in Tennessee”. This is by Golf Digest in 2001 and by Golf Magazine as “One of the Top Ten You Can Play” in North America in 1999.
